Titanic Special Event Station 2005

The event is over and now we can get down to the glory of the event. If you worked the station W1MGY and would like a nice QSL card, just send in a SASE. The Address is the call book address.

If you also copied the final CW message at 0127 AM EDT, send in the text of the message. We will send you a certificate for that accomplishment.

I’d like to thank all the Amateurs who made this event possible. I would also like to thank Ed Kamuda. For his authorization and assistance of this operation. Also I would like to thank Mike Gruber W1MG who is the originator and behind special events at the Titanic Historical Society. Thanks also to Bob Gutowski KA1QFE for the use of his cherry picker. It certainly made the Saturday success possible. And of course, I must thank the HCRA for both the use of their antenna and web space.

The operators who made it all possible were:

Rich Boyce W1RIB, Les Prentice K1DNX, Tom Doyle N1MUV, Rick Lindquist N1RL, Mike Gruber W1MG, Eric Richardson KB1JVI, Alex Rock KB1FYU, Eric Tuller N1QKO, Al Brogdon W1AB, Norm W1BMK, and Tom KA1MDA. The tenacity of these operators, despite poor propagation made the event a success.

And to those of you out there who were unable to work the station, thank you for trying. (Maybe a short prayer to the propagation gods prior to the next event would help.)

Thank You,

Dave Isham KB1MU
