Titanic Special Event Station 2004 

The event is over and now we can get down to the glory of the event. If you worked the station W1MGY and would like a nice QSL card, just send in a SASE. The address is the call book address. 

If you also copied the final CW message at 0127 AM EDT, send in the text of the message. We will send you a certificate for that accomplishment.

In case you were wondering what the station at the TITANIC HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM looks like, here it is.

The Titanic Station in Indian Orchard, MA

I’d like to thank all the Amateurs who made this event possible. I would also like to thank Ed Kamuda. For his authorization and assistance of this operation. Also I would like to thank Mike Gruber W1MG who is the originator and driving force behind special events at the Titanic Historical Society. 

The operators who made it all possible were:

Jim K1JAW, Marty W1MJB, Irv W6IS, Norm W1BMK, Larry WB1DBY, Alex KB1FYU, Al W1AB, Tom N1MUV, Rick N1RL, Mike W1MG, and Tom KA1MDA who did all the behind the scenes APRS work. The tenacity of these operators, despite poor propagation made the event a success.

And to those of you out there who were unable to work the station, thank you for trying. (Maybe a short prayer to the propagation gods prior to the next event would help.)
