HCRA
The HCRA has embarked on a mission to gather together and publish a brief history of this long-living amateur radio club. Although the HCRA has been in existence for over 50 years, very little items of historical significance appear to be available to inform people about that history. We have started this project with the premise that a lot of knowledge exists out there, in written, photographic or memory form, that needs to be collected, organized and published so everyone may enjoy the history of the club. If you have anything at all you feel could be used in the project, please contact Dave, KB1MU with your submissions. Dave has graciously volunteered to help gather the information (thanks Dave!). As we gather more and more data, someone will be appointed to "put it all together" into a brief, chronological history of the HCRA for everyone to enjoy. The HCRA mailing list would also make a good vehicle to put out your thoughts and memories about past happenings. Sometimes a little "tidbit" from your memory will "jog" another's and before you know it we have a whole story. In addition to actual historical facts, recollections of past events, humorous anecdotes, etc. are also welcome. If you're not a member of the mailing list, click here to join or contact me and I will sign you up. Don't be concerned you will have to write anything for publication (although that's fine if you want to!), we are just looking for anything and everything pertaining to the HCRA's long and interesting past. Our appointed "historian" (any volunteers?) will have the fun of assembling it for all to view. I thank you in advance for your efforts and I look forward to learning a lot about the HCRA's roots.
