ARRL 10 Meter Contest Results
Official Score

This was our second year participating as a club in the popular ARRL 10M Contest. For what was considered a 'dead band' we did pretty well. It's amazing how open the bands usually are, just nobody is listening. Did we do as well as last year? No, not quite, but we did great considering the conditions. SOAPBOX

Jim, KK1W:  I only spent about half as much time in the contest as last year. Work and other duties took me away for most of the day on Sunday. The band was pretty good considering we are a year further into the decline of the solar cycle. Openings to Europe were short and weak. The North/South path held up way after sunset on both days. Saturday night was 'pipeline time' into Texas, then Arizona - Sunday all I heard at the end was every ham in Florida! CW seemed to be the place to get the most multipliers, I'm guessing I made about two thirds of my Q's in that mode. Less than a year to go to try it all over again - I can't wait!

Marc, K1MZ:  Now for the whining: I'll leave it to your imagination... Compared to last year, half the number of QSOs using 15 times the power (75 watts). Ugg. Go figure... This year was frustrating. Maybe I need to make a sacrifice to the radio gods next year. Yeah, that'll work... Hope you had more fun then me!

Who's ready to do it again this year?
