DX Bulletin 42

ARLD042 DX news

RODRIGUES ISLAND, 3B9.  A group of operators will be QRV as 3B9SP from October 16 to 23.  Activity will be on the HF bands using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK with three stations active.  QSL via HB9ACA.

NIGER, 5U.  Stations 5U5U, 5U6E and 5U8NK are QRV from Niamey until October 15.  They are QRV on the HF bands and 6 meters with three stations active.  QSL 5U5U direct, 5U6E via F6EXV and 5U8NK via DJ8NK.

UGANDA, 5X.  Nick, G3RWF will be QRV as 5X1NH from Fort Portal in Western Uganda beginning October 15 and here for two months.
Activity will be on the HF bands, possibly including 160 meters, using CW.  This includes possible entries in the upcoming CQ WW DX CW and ARRL 10 Meter contests.  QSL direct to home call.

EAST MALAYSIA, 9M6.  Mirek, VK6DXI is QRV as 9M8DX from Kuching, Sarawak until October 15.  Activity is on 40 to 10 meters, and possibly on 160 and 80 meters as well.  He will be a Single Op/All Band/Low Power entry in the Oceania DX CW contest.  QSL via SP5UAF.

MOROCCO, CN.  A group of operators are QRV as 5D7AT until October 21 during the Concert for Tolerance taking place in Agadir.  Activity is on 80 to 10 meters.  QSL via ON4LO.

CANARY ISLANDS, EA8.  Mike, DL3FCG will be QRV as EA8/DL3FCG from Tenerife, IOTA AF-004, from October 15 to 28.  Activity will be on 80 to 10 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY, PSK and JT65.  He plans to be in the upcoming WAG and CQ WW SSB DX contests.  QSL to home call.

FRENCH POLYNESIA, FO.  Didier, F6BCW is QRV as TX5EG from Huahine Island, IOTA OC-067, until October 15.  Activity is holiday style on 40 to 10 meters using only CW.  QSL to home call.

SOLOMON ISLANDS, H4.  Bernhard, DL2GAC will be QRV as H44MS from Guadalcanal, IOTA OC-047, from October 17 to December 10.  Activity will be on 80 to 10 meters using only SSB.  QSL to home call.

HUNGARY, HA.  Members of the Hungarian International Police Association are QRV as HG20IPA until the end of November in celebration of the 20 years of the Hungarian section of IPA.
Activity is on 160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and various digital modes.  QSL via HA3JB.

MINAMI TORISHIMA, JD1.  Shin, JF7MTO is QRV as JF7MTO/JD1 from Marcus Island until October 16.  Activity is on the HF bands.  QSL to home call.

SVALBARD, JW.  Operators LA9DL, LA6VM and LA7XK are QRV as JW9DL, JW6VM and JW7XK, respectively, from Longyearbyen until October 15.
Activity is on the HF bands using CW, SSB, RTTY, PSK and JT65.  This includes being QRV as JW5X in the SAC SSB contest.  QSL to home calls and JW5X via LA5X.

SWEDEN, SM.  A group of operators will be QRV as SI9AM from the King Chulalongkorn Memorial in Raganda.  Activity is on 160 to 10 meters, including 2 meters, using CW, SSB and FM.  This includes being an entry in the SAC SSB contest.  QSL via SM3CVM.

WEST KIRIBATI, T30.  A group of operators will be QRV from October
16 to 25 as T30PY on 160 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY, and as T30SIX on 6 meters using EME with JT65A.  There will be three stations on the air.  QSL via PY2PT.

ST. KITTS AND NEVIS, V4.  John, W5JON and Cathy, W5HAM are QRV as V47JA and V47HAM, respectively, from Calypso Bay on St. Kitts, IOTA NA-104, until November 1.  Activity is on the HF bands and 6 meters using SSB.  This includes a possible entry in the upcoming CQ WW SSB contest.  QSL both calls via W5JON.

MACAO, XX9.  A group of operators will be QRV as XX9TFR, XX9TPX, XX9TBM and XX9TEX from Pousada de Coloane Hotel, Coloane Island, IOTA AS-075, from October 18 to 29.  Activity will be on 160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY with at least two stations active.
QSL all calls direct via EA7FTR.

THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  North American RTTY Sprint, Makrothen RTTY Contest, NCCC RTTY Sprint, Oceania DX CW Contest, NCCC Sprint, QRP ARCI Fall CW QSO Party, Scandinavian Activity SSB Contest, Pennsylvania QSO Party, Arizona QSO Party, EU Autumn CW Sprint, FISTS Fall CW Sprint, PODXS 070 Club 160-Meter Great Pumpkin PSK31 Sprint, SKCC Weekend CW Sprintathon and the UBA ON CW Contest will certainly keep contesters busy this upcoming weekend.  The ARRL School Club Roundup is scheduled from October 15 to 19.  Please see October QST, page 87 and the ARRL and WA7BNM Contest websites for details.
